Paramaribo City Tour – €30.00
The name Paramaribo is likely derived from an Indigenous village called Parmurbo, where a trading post was established in the early 17th century. The English later took over and built Fort Willoughby. In 1667, Abraham Crijnssen conquered the area, and Paramaribo began to expand westward from the fort.

After the abolition of slavery in 1863 and the end of contract labor in 1873, many people moved into the city. Since 2002, the historic center of Paramaribo has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. One highlight is the wooden St. Peter and Paul Cathedral, the largest wooden building in South America.

  • Departure: daily with a minimum of 1 participant

  • Time: 08:00 – 11:00 (3 hours, later start possible)

Frederiksdorp Plantation – €75.00

This former plantation, featuring original plantation houses and a police post, has been declared a historical heritage site and transformed into a charming property on a beautiful estate. Frederiksdorp also has a fine restaurant and a well-stocked bar where you can enjoy carefully prepared meals.

Nearby, you will find various excursion opportunities ranging from educational to active experiences. From February to mid-July, Suriname’s Atlantic beaches serve as nesting grounds for giant sea turtles—an unforgettable experience during a longer stay at Frederiksdorp.
